Taking inspiration from classic tube heads of the past but with modern features and reliability firmly in mind the Classic Tube Magnifier is a road ready tone monster. Housed within a 18mm Marine grade birch ply cabinet that features heavy duty flip style handles and an internal fan to keep things cool this is an amplifier that is built to last and will sound great night after night. Beginning with high and low inputs(for active or passive instruments) the simple yet comprehensive pre amp provides a wealth of tonal options. The dual gain stage means either driven or cleaner tones can be selected using the 'mellow' push button. The 3 band EQ consists of Bass, Middle and Treble and can be sculpted further using the 'Deep', 'Mid Shift' and 'Bright' push buttons making it quick and easy to create your own tone. Complimenting this is a tube driven and recovered FX loop and a very tasty tube driven DI out which is transformer derived with isolated ground for the ultimate in sonic purity. The CTM 300 also features user adjustable bias for each individual power tube which can be set by engaging the bias mode of the dual function VU meter on the front panel. The VU meter also used to monitor overall output level. Each output tube is individually fused and user replaceable without removing the unit from its case (meter also indicates tube or fuse failure) With a power section consisting of 6 x KT88 output tubes to provide the huge grunt, warmth and headroom bassists crave this is a serious bass amplifier to be called into action when only the best will do.
