History speaks for itself. The ES-335 is one of the most important guitars of all time. Right from its introduction in 1958 as the world's first semi-hollowbody electric guitar it has been a mainstay of players eager to balance the gorgeous, round, mellow tones perfect for jazz and blues with the edge and sustain of a full-blooded solidbody.

For 2015 there's been further refinement to this iconic instrument- some cosmetic, some structural. So starting with the neck, first thing you'll notice is this year's 'Dot' is actually a 'Block'! Synonymous with the 1960's ES-335 we have some small pearloid block inlays. The neck itself keeps its Slim Taper profile but has added thickness to the headstock transition providing greater strength and stability.

There's a bone nut, new lower profile frets and also the neck binding is rolled to make this a really comfy guitar to play. Electronics wise we have Burstbucker 1 & 2 pickups- each calibrated for their respective position for balanced output & a brighter sound (closer to original PAF's). Gibson have also kept the locking stop bar tailpiece- this provides a solid connection from the stop bar to the body of the guitar increases resonance and sustain all while making string changes simpler. Includes a fitted tan colour hardshell case & certificate of authenticity.
